Almost nine months old...

She's a funny little lady. I really didn't expect her to be so dang funny. I knew she'd be delightful (because c'mon, her parents are delightful, am I right?) and I knew she'd be a genius (heh), but I am so surprised at how often she makes me laugh. Sometimes, she gives me this look where her head is pointing down and her eyes are cast upward and then she smiles a little. She has a wry smile. Is that even possible? Probably not. But I'll just live in that illusion for a bit...
I'm just going to put up a bunch of pictures we've taken recently. It's been too long since I've done that.

Lucy & Peter Cottontail

Happy Easter, everybody!

We took Lucy to the Media Center Mall with Lindsay & Iz and had some glamor shots done with the King of Spring, the Easter Bunny.

I feel like you can see a change in Lucy with this shot, from infant to little girl. Bless her tiny heart, every time I look at a picture of her I go back and start at the beginning and look at all of them. She's eight-months-old today and I feel like she was born yesterday. Awwwww, look at that kid! She's delightful. I'm so grateful to have her and her mom in my life. What a lucky guy I am.

The Swimsuit Competition

She sure is a looker, ain't she?

Lucy's sporting the latest in fruit-time swimwear. She took a dip in a friend's pool (thanks M+P) and did great. Hopefully that's foreshadowing because she starts swimming lessons next week. That's crazy, right? She can't walk or talk but she can do the butterfly stroke? I never thought of myself as a "crazy, California type" but perhaps I am. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to print up more of my "Go Green" hemp-ink bumper stickers (for bikes).

Lucy Speaks!

We're about to meet the Easter Bunny when Lucy has a few quiet "Bahs" to share.

Chris takes great pictures. Lately, they've been better than great and here are a few of my favorites.

Spring!

Out and about.
Lucy, Chris and I went to an outdoor mall in Glendale the other day. (I thought it was time for me to post a picture of me, for novelty's sake.) It was a pretty day and Lucy went without shoes and socks! Wheeeee! She liked riding in the umbrella stroller and wearing her cool reversible hat to keep the sun off of her face. At lunch, she sampled some of my whole wheat bun and some avocado from Chris' Cobb salad. It's funny to be able to feed her food from our plates when only months ago, I was worried about giving her a little bit of formula. Now it's spinach and lentils and sweet potatoes and anything else I can get her to try. Time flies.
