No more rain!

It was 65 and sunny here today and Lucy and I went to the park! I don't usually brag about the weather in LA, but it has been raining a LOT recently (40 days and 40 nights, seemed like) so I'm bragging. Anyway, Lucy and I went to our park and spread out a blanket. Now that she can sit up, she likes to hang out on the blanket and watch the people go by. I actually read a book while she chomped on her mesh teether, filled with apple--her new favorite thing. The book was about sleeping (Lucy's) but it was still a book and I'm happy to be reading again! The first picture is from early this morning and the rest are from our apple picnic. Enjoy!

You should see the other guy.

Another day, another tooth.

Lucy woke up from a particularly hard night last week, with a new tooth and a new scratch! She was so happy though youda never known anything went down. Aside from her Dad, Lucy is the happiest person I've ever met. The first picture is Luce with said scratch and new tooth (We're working on a picture of the teeth. She may always be in a good mood, but prying her lips open to photograph her new teeth? Now that's another matter.) The second, is Lucy modeling a hat that once belonged to Chris. She's so game for anything and I think this picture shows it. Want me to model a hat with a jaunty chin strap? Happily? Of course!

A pearly white...

Lucy got her first tooth yesterday.

Chris noticed it in the morning because, well because Lucy sort of bit him. They were playing their usual, I Gum Daddy's Finger Whenever I Get the Chance Game, and the stakes were raised. For good. We're thrilled about it although I had to cry a little because it means she's growing up and that kills me. Ugh. And, aside from waking up a little more often during the night a couple nights before the tooth, she weathered it pretty well. She's a tough cookie, turns out. I've included some pictures of our tough cookie for your enjoyment. The first is Lucy and Chris after Lucy's nightly bath. We started a bedtime routine which includes a bath with Mom, and Chris does the second half of the task which includes powder and jammies. The next couple pictures are more from the park on a swing (thank you Mira and Chris for my hoodie. I love it!). Until she can sit up by herself, I think there will be more swing pictures in our future. The last picture is Lucy in her new toy, the Excersaucer. It was a gift from Jenny, Lauren, Michelle, Abby and Carolynn, my college friends. I'm a little concerned that all of the stimulation may singe her brain synapses but she likes it, so we're goin' with it. Enjoy!

Successful Jumperoo!

Jumperoo, Part One

Thanks to Rebecca, Lucy has a bunch of new toys! Here Sarah & I try to coax a demonstration of her favorite, the Jumperoo.
